March Favorites

Happy Wednesday guys! I can’t believe we’re already at the end of March… Feels like this month has just flown by doesn’t it? I’ve kept pretty busy by wrapping up design deadlines at work, writing posts, and shooting for the blog. I’ve also started getting ready for spring by organizing our home, clearing out our closets (which was much needed!) and doing a little spring cleaning. It feels so good to refresh our home and get rid of stuff we no longer need.

After the winter we had this year, I am really excited about springtime. I’m eagerly waiting for the warm weather to return so that I can go on bike rides, picnics, and start jogging with the pup again — there’s something so rejuvenating and healing about the warm sunshine on your skin. I’m really hoping that April will finally bring warmer weather and sunshine. Alright, enough blabbing, let’s get to the good stuff shall we?

{Health & Wellness}

Banana milk is apparently the new health drink. Hmm… could be interesting. Would you try it?

Proven ways that daily tea habits can seriously transform our health.

A great article on why self care is so important.

Have you heard? Mermaid toast is officially a thing and it’s as gorgeous as it is healthy. It’s made by mixing blue green algae powder (a nutrient-dense superfood) with homemade almond milk cream cheese.

{Currently Savoring}

If you need me I’ll just be over here staring at this cake. Doesn’t it look incredible? I might have to make it this weekend!

I’ve been loving this amazing granola from Gwyneth Paltrow’s latest cookbook, It’s All Easy. It’s delicious, filling, good for you and super easy to make. I love having it with a little unsweetened almond milk or as a parfait with fresh blueberries and nonfat vanilla Greek yogurt. Yum!

{Currently Watching}

If you aren’t watching Big Little Lies, you’ve been missing out! Big Little Lies is HBO’s new miniseries based on the same-titled best-selling novel by Liane Moriarty, and stars Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman and Shailene Woodley. It weaves a darkly comedic tale of murder and mischief in the tranquil beach-front town of Monterey, California. Amidst doting moms, successful husbands, beautiful children, and stunning homes exists a community fueled by rumors and divided into haves and have nots, exposing fractured relationships between husbands and wives, parents and children, and friends and neighbors. Told through the eyes of three mothers: Madeline, Celeste and Jane, the series’ narrative explores society’s myths regarding perfection and its romanticization of marriage, sex, parenting and friendship. I can’t believe there’s only 2 episodes left! It’s addictively good!

{On My Wishlist}

I need this romper in my life.

How pretty is this pink lotus robe? The beautiful floral print reminds me of spring and it’s perfect for those lazy days in bed!

Melanie Auld is my favorite jewellery designer and she creates the most beautiful delicate pieces. I’m anxiously awaiting the launch of this gorgeous aquamarine ring next month! So pretty and perfect for spring/summer.

{Currently Reading}

I just finished reading this book and thoroughly enjoyed it. We all know that beauty starts from within, but what we put on our skin is equally important. In this book, the editors of GOOP share their top tips and recommendations, favorite detox recipes, workout plans, and hair and makeup looks. They also shed the light on the importance of diet, sleep, exercise and clean beauty products while offering tactical advice for healthy, glowing skin and hair that starts from the inside out. I found the book well-researched, informative and extremely helpful. It’s a great resource for women everywhere on how to look and feel your best every single day, and I know that I will come back to it time and time again.

{Currently Loving}

I’ve been really loving this stem cellular anti-wrinkle moisturizer from Juice Beauty. It’s made with a proprietary blend of fruit stem cells and Vitamin C infused into a resveratrol-rich grape formula to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It’s cruelty-free, vegan and formulated without petroleum, propylene or butylene glycol, pesticides, artificial dyes, or synthetic fragrances. The packaging is a plus because of it’s airtight dispenser — press down on the pump once and it releases just the right amount of product. I prefer this type of dispenser because it keeps the product clean and also prevents it from coming into contact with air rendering it less effective. It also applies nicely and smells refreshing (think freshly picked lemons).

These super cool mismatched pave studs have been part of my daily uniform along with this beautiful teardrop disc necklace. I get so many compliments every time I wear these pieces!

This Montpellier sweater from Aritzia is one of the softest and coziest things I own and it’s currently on sale! It’s an oversized fit, so make sure to size down if you end up getting one for yourself.

I recently picked up these beautiful sandals from Urban Outfitters and I can’t wait to wear them. Come on beautiful weather!

Wishing you all a happy and wonderful weekend!

xo,

Susie
